Ray, two former staff members of the Director of the National Security Agency; Lt. Col. Karen Kwiatkowski, PhD, and Major John M. Newman, PhD, and many others. Unmarked chopper patrols New York City from above

"They don't even know we're here," said crew chief John Diaz, speaking into a headset over the din of the aircraft's engine.
The helicopter's unmarked paint job belies what's inside: an arsenal of sophisticated surveillance and tracking equipment powerful enough to read license plates — or scan pedestrians' faces — from high above the nation's largest metropolis.
Police say the chopper's sweeps of landmarks and other potential targets are invaluable in helping guard against another terrorist attack, providing a see-but-avoid-being-seen advantage against bad guys. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080524/ap_on_re_us/stealth_helicopter&printer=1;_ylt=AhB5AZ59GoySYHONo5fhZuBH2ocA

Bird Flu Medicine (Tamiflu, Swiss-based comp) Drives Teens to Suicide

Seoul Shinmun, a local daily, reported that a woman in her 30s said she had nightmares after taking the drug in 2005.

Japan has imported the drug since 2001, long before its effect on bird flu was acknowledged.
However, since then, there have been 1,268 cases of extraordinary behavior reported, of which 85 percent were from teenagers. They reportedly committed suicide by jumping out of buildings or into cars. http://www.koreatimes.co.kr/www/news/include/print.asp?newsIdx=24103

Google board of directors vote AGAINST internet freedom

exerpt from pg. 29 http://investor.google.com/documents/2008_notice_n_proxy_statement.html#rom98719_66

Internet Censorship

Whereas, freedom of speech and freedom of the press are fundamental human rights, and free use of the Internet is protected in Article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which guarantees freedom to “receive and impart information and ideas through any media regardless of frontiers”, and

Whereas, the rapid provision of full and uncensored information through the Internet has become a major industry in the United States, and one of its major exports, and

Whereas, political censorship of the Internet degrades the quality of that service and ultimately threatens the integrity and viability of the industry itself, both in the United States and abroad, and

Whereas, some authoritarian foreign governments such as the Governments of Belarus, Burma, China, Cuba, Egypt, Iran, North Korea, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Tunisia, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam block, restrict, and monitor the information their citizens attempt to obtain, and

Whereas, technology companies in the United States such as Google, that operate in countries controlled by authoritarian governments have an obligation to comply with the principles of the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights, and

Whereas, technology companies in the United States have failed to develop adequate standards by which they can conduct business with authoritarian governments while protecting human rights to freedom of speech and freedom of expression,

Therefore, be it resolved, that shareholders request that management institute policies to help protect freedom of access to the Internet which would include the following minimum standards:
1) Data that can identify individual users should not be hosted in Internet restricting countries, where political speech can be treated as a crime by the legal system.
2) The company will not engage in pro-active censorship.
3) The company will use all legal means to resist demands for censorship. The company will only comply with such demands if required to do so through legally binding procedures.
4) Users will be clearly informed when the company has acceded to legally binding government requests to filter or otherwise censor content that the user is trying to access.
5) Users should be informed about the company’s data retention practices, and the ways in which their data is shared with third parties.
6) The company will document all cases where legally-binding censorship requests have been complied with, and that information will be publicly available.

Olympic torch blogger jailed

China boasts of how the Beijing Olympic Sacred Flame torch relay was able to pass safely through Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam without unseemly protests such as those seen in London, Paris and San Francisco.
But things mightn’t have gone so smoothly had not Nguyen Van Hai, a prominent online reporter who posts as Dieu Cay, and who’d been, “organising local bloggers to follow the torch” been thrown into jail. http://www.p2pnet.net/story/15812

Project Hostile Intent (Dept. Of Homeland Security)

The idea is that entrants to the USA would, basically, be mind-probed by amazing new tech to be developed by the Human Factors Division of the DHS Science & Technology directorate. The S&T boys swear blind that the technology will be "non-invasive" - oh, thank god - and will "identify deception and hostile intent in real time, on the spot... without ever impeding the flow of travellers".
New Scientist reports that this is already done by specially-trained human screeners, but that's too manpower-intensive and time consuming for widespread use. Apart from expression scanning, the computers might check for suspicious eyeball movements - bad guys are well known to shiftily look left and right when worried.

Quotes about the GLOBAL WAR(ming) - the elite's green agenda

"In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up
with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming,
water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill ...
All these dangers are caused by human intervention
and it is only through changed attitudes and
behaviour that they can be overcome.
The real enemy, then, is humanity itself."
- Club of Rome,The First Global Revolution
(note Al Gore is a member of the Club of Rome)
"We've got to ride this global warming issue.
Even if the theory of global warming is wrong,
we will be doing the right thing in terms of
economic and environmental policy."
- Timothy Wirth, fmr US Under Sec of State, current Head of the UN Foundation
"...we need to get some broad based support,
to capture the public's imagination....
So we have to offer up scary scenarios,
make simplified, dramatic statements
and make little mention of any doubts....
Each of us has to decide what the right balance
is between being effective and being honest."
- Stephen Schneider,
Stanford Professor of Climatology
lead Author of many IPCC reports
“A New World Order is required to deal
with the Climate Change crisis.”
- Gordon Brown, British Prime Minister
"We are close to a time when all of humankind
will envision a global agenda that encompasses
a kind of Global Marshall Plan to address the
causes of poverty and suffering and
environmental destruction all over the earth."
- Al Gore, from Earth in Balance
No matter if the science of global warming is all phony...
climate change provides the greatest opportunity to
bring about justice and equality in the world.”
- Christine Stewart,
fmr Canadian Minister of the Environment
“The only way to get our society to truly change is to
frighten people with the possibility of a catastrophe.”
- emeritus professor Daniel Botkin
"We are on the verge of a global transformation.
All we need is the right major crisis..."
- David Rockefeller,
Club of Rome executive member
"Effective execution of Agenda 21 will require a profound
reorientation of all human society, unlike anything the world
has ever experienced a major shift in the priorities of both
governments and individuals and an unprecedented
redeployment of human and financial resources. This shift
will demand that a concern for the environmental consequences
of every human action be integrated into individual and
collective decision-making at every level."
- excerpt, UN Agenda 21
"Isn't the only hope for the planet that the
industrialized civilizations collapse?
Isn't it our responsiblity to bring that about?"
- Maurice Strong, former Secretary General of UNEP
"If I were reincarnated I would wish to be returned to earth
as a killer virus to lower human population levels."
- Prince Phillip, Duke of Edinburgh,
patron of the World Wildlife Fund
"Childbearing should be a punishable crime against
society, unless the parents hold a government license.
All potential parents should be required to use
contraceptive chemicals, the government issuing
antidotes to citizens chosen for childbearing."
- David Brower,
first Executive Director of the Sierra Club
“Climate Change is the greatest threat that
human civilisation has ever faced.”
- Angela Merkel, German Chancellor

Satellite data shows that concerns over the levels of sea ice may have been premature.
It was feared that the polar caps were vanishing because of the effects of global warming.
But figures from the respected US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration show that almost all the “lost” ice has come back.
Ice levels which had shrunk from 13million sq km in January 2007 to just four million in October, are almost back to their original levels. http://www.express.co.uk/printer/view/35266/
