France defies EU parliament on internet law

EUOBSERVER / BRUSSELS - In defiance of the European Parliament, the French lower house has approved a law that has widely been described as the most aggressive attempt to counter internet piracy yet.

The 'three-strikes' law that would cut off internet access to users found to be repeatedly downloading copyright content without the permission of the owner was passed by 296 votes to 233 in what is the government's second attempt to push through the bill.

The legislation, which creates a new government agency, the Hadopi ( the Haute Autorite pour la Diffusion des Oeuvres et la Protection des droits sur Internet, or High Authority for the Diffusion of Works and the Protection of Rights on the Internet), which first sends a web-surfer an email warning, then a letter through the post and, finally, as the third 'strike,' can interrupt his internet access for up to a year.

The bill, a flagship piece of legislation for President Nicholas Sarkozy, whose wife is a pop star, was defeated last month when deputies from the governing centre-right UMP failed to turn up to vote in sufficient numbers and the opposition Socialists managed to quash it.

However, in a move targetting the French three-strikes law, last week, the European Parliament approved an amendment to a major piece of telecommunications legislation specifically outlawing the ability of governments to cut off internet access without first receiving a court order.

The European bill including the amendment must still be endorsed by the [unelected] Council of Ministers, representing the EU member states, when telecoms ministers meet on 12 June.

Obama's regulatory czar wants Net 'Fairness Doctrine': SCAN & BLOCK E-MAILS

WASHINGTON – Barack Obama's nominee for "regulatory czar" has advocated a "Fairness Doctrine" for the Internet that would require opposing opinions be linked and also has suggested angry e-mails should be prevented from being sent by technology that would require a 24-hour cooling off period.

The revelations about Cass Sunstein, Obama's friend from the University of Chicago Law School and nominee to head the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, come in a new book by Brad O'Leary, "Shut Up, America! The End of Free Speech." OIRA will oversee regulation throughout the U.S. government.

Sunstein also has argued in his prolific literary works that the Internet is anti-democratic because of the way users can filter out information of their own choosing.

"A system of limitless individual choices, with respect to communications, is not necessarily in the interest of citizenship and self-government," he wrote. "Democratic efforts to reduce the resulting problems ought not be rejected in freedom's name."

GIVE Mandatory Service Act Strips First Amendment of “Volunteers”

On March 18, Rep. George Miller, a Democrat from California, tacked an amendment on H.R. 1388, entitled “Generations Invigorating Volunteerism and Education Act,” or GIVE (to government), Obama’s plan to require mandatory service for all able young people. Miller’s amendment will “prohibit organizations from attempting to influence legislation; organize or engage in protests, petitions, boycotts, or strikes; and assist, promote, or deter union organizing,” according to GovTrack.us, a site that tracks Congress.
In other words, Obama’s “volunteer corps” act, passed by the House with a 321-105 margin and requiring the government to develop a plan for indentured servitude, would deny millions of people their right to oppose and organize against government legistation under the First Amendment. “This is as close to a sedition act, a violation of 1st Amendment rights, as has been proposed in recent history. A basic right as a part of our natural, inalienable rights, is to resist government. Our founders not only knew it was a right but it was a responsibility. This legislation begins to break that down significantly,” writes Gary Wood for the Examiner.

Similar initiatives have been introduced in other western countries, including recently in the UK with the announcement that MI5 is currently training up to 60,000 UK citizens as part a civilian network of terrorist spotters, according to Prime Minister Gordon Brown and home secretary, Jacqui Smith.

In addition, Obama’s Chief of Staff, Rahm Emanuel, publicly stated his intention to help create “universal civil defense training” in 2006.

In an interview with Ben Smith of the New York Daily News, Emanuel outlined the agenda for military-style training, essentially a domestic draft, aimed at preparing Americans for a chemical or biological terrorist attack.

On its face, the gift presented to Calderón seems rather strange. But when you think about it, not really. In the novel, Oceania has a strict social class arrangement with the Inner Party at the top (2% of the population represented by Big Brother), the Outer Party of bureaucrats in the middle, and a large number of Proles at the bottom. The Inner Party believes the Proles are inferior and expendable and strives to make certain they live in misery, not unlike the average Mexican who lives under grinding poverty while a small predatory and parasitical class represented by Calderón steals the country’s wealth.

The elected president of Mexico is Andrés Manuel López Obrador, but Mexico’s elite rigged the election in 2006 and installed the “free market” — that is to say, the globalist and bankster tool — Felipe Calderón.

Mexico has rather obvious and obnoxious social classes based along racial lines. Most of the country is mestizo (of mixed European and native ancestry) while the ruling elite is white. It is not uncommon for the elite to harbor racist attitudes bordering on white supremacy.

Felipe Calderón is careful not to display racist attitudes. Prince Philip, the husband of Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh, does not share this aversion. King Edward VIII, who became the Duke of Windsor after abdicating in 1936, was sympathetic towards Hitler. In 1970 he told one interviewer: “I never thought Hitler was such a bad chap.” The duke and his wife, Wallis Simpson, had visited Germany in 1937 and were taken to meet the Führer.

Edward’s abdication led to Queen Elizabeth II’s ascension to the throne in 1952. It is said her second cousin, Prince Philip, whom she married, had siblings with connections to the Nazis. Philip was trained in the Hitler Youth. “Not only was he trained in the Hitler Youth curriculum, but his German brothers-in-law, with whom he lived, all became high-ranking figures in the Nazi Party,” writes Scott Thompson in The American Almanac. Philip’s belief in population control and eugenics is like a page right out the Nazi playbook.

“Other royals also had links to the Nazis,” writes Richard Woods for the Sunday Times. “Baron Gunther von Reibnitz, the father of Princess Michael of Kent, was a party member and an honorary member of the SS. And the brother of Princess Alice, a great-aunt to the Queen, was a Nazi who said that Hitler had done a ‘wonderful job.’”

“Three of Philip’s brothers-in-law were part of a group of German aristocrats who were Anglophile and pro-Nazi at the same time, and who remain a subversive force in Germany to this day,” Thompson adds.

It’s no secret the British monarchy, and the City of London’s leading Crown bankers, enthusiastically backed Hitler and the Nazis, bankrolled the Führer’s election, and did everything possible to build the Nazi war machine.

Considering the historical record — dutifully ignored by the corporate media as Obama bows and scrapes before the Queen and her pro-Nazi and racist husband — the Queen’s gift to Felipe Calderón may be inappropriate.

She should have gifted him with a copy of Hitler’s Mein Kampf.

Vandaag stemt het Franse parlement over een wetsvoorstel dat het einde van het vrije internet in Frankrijk zal betekenen. Het wetsvoorstel moet ervoor zorgen dat iedereen die illegale bestanden download in Frankrijk het risico loopt om een jaar lang van het internet te worden afgesloten. Bij goedkeuring van dit wetsvoorstel zal Frankrijk de strengste internetregulering ter wereld hebben.

Volgens het wetsvoorstel krijgt iemand die illegale bestanden download eerst een waarschuwing per email, de tweede keer een aangetekende brief en wordt deze bij een derde overtreding een jaar lang afgesloten van het Internet. Het internetverkeer zal constant in de gaten gehouden worden door een nog op te richten instantie. Men verwacht dat deze Big Brother instantie dagelijks tienduizend waarschuwingen zal versturen. Deze nieuwe aanpak wordt mogelijk gemaakt door de Franse overheid, internetaanbieders en de muziek/platenindustrie.

Om te voorkomen dat overtreders van deze wet uitwijken naar publieke wifi-toegangspunten, zullen deze alleen nog maar toegang mogen bieden tot sites die op een 'whitelist' staan. On June 17, 1996, the U.S. Air Force released Air Force 2025, “a study designed to comply with a directive from the chief of staff of the Air Force to examine the concepts, capabilities, and technologies the United States will require to remain the dominant air and space force in the future.” In the unclassified study, the College of Aerospace Doctrine, Research, and Education at Maxwell Air Force Base in Alabama posed several “fictional representations of future situations/scenarios” likely to arise.

	In 2009, according to a figure in the Air Force 2025 report, influenza kills 30 million people.

In Chapter 5, the authors present a timeline figure representing “plausible history.” In 2009, according to the figure, influenza will kill 30 million people. “A similar influenza pandemic occurred in the past,” a footnote explains, making a reference to the influenza epidemic of 1918 and 1919, described as “one of the worst human catastrophes on record. ‘Accidental’ Contamination Of Vaccine With Live Avian Flu Virus Virtually Impossible

Czech newspapers are questioning if the shocking discovery of vaccines contaminated with the deadly avian flu virus which were distributed to 18 countries by the American company Baxter were part of a conspiracy to provoke a pandemic.

The claim holds weight because, according to the very laboratory protocols that are routine for vaccine makers, mixing a live virus biological weapon with vaccine material by accident is virtually impossible.

“The company that released contaminated flu virus material from a plant in Austria confirmed Friday that the experimental product contained live H5N1 avian flu viruses,” reports the Canadian Press.

Baxter flu vaccines contaminated with H5N1 - otherwise known as the human form of avian flu, one of the most deadly biological weapons on earth with a 60% kill rate - were received by labs in the Czech Republic, Germany, and Slovenia.

Initially, Baxter attempted to stonewall questions by invoking “trade secrets” and refused to reveal how the vaccines were contaminated with H5N1. After increased pressure they then claimed that pure H5N1 batches were sent by accident. This was seemingly an attempt to quickly change the story and hide the fact that the accidental contamination of a vaccine with a deadly biological agent like avian flu is virtually impossible and the only way it could have happened was by wilful gross criminal negligence.

In May, 2008, the National Snow and Ice Data Center (NSIDC) predicted that the North Pole would be ice-free during the 2008 melt season because of ‘global warming.’

Today, they admitted that they’ve underreported Arctic ice extent by 193,000 square miles (500,000 square kilometers). They blamed the error on satellite problems and sensor drift.

And we’re supposed to trust these people?

That’s the size of Maine, Vermont, Maryland, Massachusetts, New
York, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Rhode Island,
and West Virginia combined! And toss in Washington, D.C. for
good measure.

Let’s watch the newspapers. If a pimple of ice smaller than a city
should break off an ice sheet, they'd holler to the high heavens.
But do you think they’ll report this discovery of 'lost' ice the size
of 10 states?

Congress Seeks To Authorize & Legalize FEMA (Concentration) Camp Facilities

A new bill has been introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives called the National Emergency Centers Act or HR 645. This bill if passed into law will direct the Secretary of Homeland Security to establish national emergency centers otherwise known as FEMA camp facilities on military installations. This is an incredibly disturbing piece of legislation considering that the powers that be have already set in motion an agenda to setup a nationwide marital law apparatus through U.S. Northern Command and the Department of Homeland Security.
Apparently, the fusion centers, militarized police, surveillance cameras and a domestic military command is not enough. Even though we already know that detention facilities are already in place, they now want to legalize the construction of FEMA camps on military installations using the ever popular excuse that the facilities are for the purposes of a national emergency. With the phony debt based economy getting worse and worse by the day, the possibility of civil unrest is becoming a greater threat to the establishment. One need only look at Iceland, Greece and other nations for what might happen in the United States next. With this in mind, it appears as if these so called national emergency centers will be used in a national emergency but only if the national emergency requires large groups of people to be rounded up and detained. If that isn’t the case, than why have these national emergency facilities built in military installations?
This section authorizes the Homeland Security Secretary to setup these FEMA camps in closed or open military installations and in regions around the nation. This essentially legalizes any existing FEMA camp infrastructure that has been built in either closed or open military installations and opens the door for additional facilities to be created.
Fortunately, the bill only authorizes $180,000,000 per year for these facilities, but considering that the majority of the detention facilities are probably already built, they won’t need much additional funding. There is no doubt judging from the language of this bill, that it is meant to legalize what they’ve already been doing. After all, FEMA has already been looking at ways to transport large quantities of people to camps, they held a FEMA camp drill which consisted of an illegal alien round up in Iowa and KBR/Halliburtion has already aided in the creation of detention facilities. The rationale behind this legislation is undoubtedly to serve as a mechanism of control if the authorities need facilities to hold large amounts of dissenting people. This is not to help people. One only needs to take a look at what happened during Hurricane Katrina and it is obvious that the government does not care about the people. They didn’t care then, and they don’t care now, and these facilities built or unbuilt will definitely not be utilized for the people’s interest.

THE Home Office has quietly adopted a new plan to allow police across Britain routinely to hack into people’s personal computers without a warrant.

The move, which follows a decision by the European Union’s council of ministers[1] in Brussels, has angered civil liberties groups and opposition MPs. They described it as a sinister extension of the surveillance state

The hacking is known as “remote searching”. It allows police or MI5 officers ... to examine covertly the hard drive of someone’s PC at his home, office or hotel room.

Under the Brussels edict, police across the EU have been given the green light to expand the implementation [….]involving warrantless intrusive surveillance of private property. The strategy will allow French, German and other EU forces to ask British officers to hack into someone’s UK computer and pass over any material gleaned.

Times: Leaked EU Minutes - Ireland Will Vote Again On Lisbon AND EU Membership

PLANS to isolate Ireland and force the country to hold a second referendum on the Lisbon treaty by next March were discussed at a European Union meeting 10 days ago.

In 2002, Minnesota liberalised the legal definition of terrorism, according to the Associated Press, to include actions "intended to interfere with the conduct of government or the right of lawful assembly." Essentially, it's Minnesota's version of the US Patriot Act.

There's an old saying that circulates in more politically radical circles: "Protest is patriotism." In this post-September 11 world of paranoia and political expediency, however, protest, an essence of democracy, has morphed into something perfectly Orwellian: terrorism.

Two recent events demonstrate how easy it is for the government to dilute words and their meanings to close off opposition and dissent. Last week, the Maryland state police disclosed that 53 nonviolent anti-war and anti-death penalty activists were tracked for 14 months in 2005 and 2006 under the state's terrorism surveillance programme, and that their names had been added to the state's and the National Security Agency's database.

Agence France-Presse published a press release about the Sydney meeting of the international Commission on Nuclear Non-proliferation and Disarmament presided over by Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd who said that the world is facing a threat that will dwarf the September 11 attacks.

“The devastation that could be wreaked by one major nuclear weapons incident alone puts 9/11 and almost everything else [in] to the category of the insignificant,” Rudd said.

What are they preparing us for?

Prior to 9/11 William Kristol’s Project for a New American Century called for a “catalyzing event - like a new Pearl Harbor” to bring about a “transformational” change in U.S. foreign policy and military spending.

Record growth in UK DNA database

Britain's DNA database is being built by stealth, critics warned, as the Government admitted record numbers of profiles were added last year.
Many of the 722,464 new samples were taken by police from people who have never been convicted of – or even charged with – a criminal offence.
The total number of DNA profiles held is estimated to be about 4.8 million. Some 350,000 of those taken last year were from children aged 14 and under.
Chris Huhne, the Liberal Democrat home affairs spokesman, said: "The Government is rapidly building the world's biggest DNA database, by stealth. Guilt or innocence and the negative effect the database has on children and ethnic minorities are of no concern to ministers."
